AppSpeedway ("we") builds Quirl, an app that converts cookbook recipes into Thermomix instructions. This policy explains what we collect and why. We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising or tracking.
To convert a scan, the page images are sent to Google's Gemini API for processing and are not stored by that service for training. Before upload, images are downscaled and their EXIF/GPS location data is stripped. The conversion is transient; we retain the resulting recipe in your account, not the raw scan on our servers.
When you scan a book barcode or view ingredient images, only the ISBN or the ingredient name is sent to Open Library, Google Books or TheMealDB — never your identity.
Recipes are private to your account. A recipe becomes reachable by a public link only if you explicitly choose to publish it (for example, "Send to Cookidoo"), and you can remove that public page at any time.
You can delete your account from Settings; this erases your recipes, photos and account, and revokes the Sign in with Apple token. Data is kept only while your account exists.
Quirl is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by the date above.
